Raising fingers against army, Omar stooped low: Kavinder
3/24/2024 10:36:27 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 24: Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister, Kavinder Gupta on Sunday hit out at NC leader Omar Abdullah for raising fingers against the army.
In a statement issued to media persons, Kavinder slammed Omar for decrying the army for its stance on uniform civil code claiming that the men in olive have started indulging into politics and religious matters.
The BJP stalwart retorting in harsh words said that Omar has stooped so low by forgetting the significant role which army played in saving hundreds of lives in Kashmir during dangerous floods in 2014, gave numerous opportunities to the Kashmiri youth to see the country by arranging country-wide tours and also by providing training on different trades to people of almost all age groups to become Atmanirbhar besides giving number of other facilities including medical camps and veterinary camps, and ration during testing times. He said that it is too mean to question the role of the army when the most disciplined organization of the country discusses the significant issue of UCC to spread awareness among masses.
Kavinder castigated Omar for his susceptibility to find faults in the army and defamed it publicly for no reason at all. He said that people have become aware of these tactics by the dynastic leadership of the Valley and that is the reason behind NC finding hard to get takers for its bundles of lies. He said that the government is well aware of NC leadership's ploy to misguide the people and therefore it is doing its best to make sure that no entity in J&K could sway the people towards anti-India or anti-government stance once again.
Meanwhile, Kavinder chaired a meeting of Booth Level Committees at different wards. He announced that BJP has constituted all the Booth Level Committees and is now fully geared up for the ensuing polls. At the meetings in different wards, he asked party activists to strengthen the party at Booth level and ensure clean sweep during Lok Sabha polls in the UT, making the path of crossing 400-seat mark conveniently.
Others present in the meetings include Rahul Kumar Ex-Corporator Ward No. 20, Rikki Gupta State Executive Member, Bharat Bhushan Mandal President, Sandeep Gupta, Satvir Singh, Vijay Verma, Rachit Khosla, Gharu Bhatti, Manga and Eklavya Surjeet Singh, Arvind Sharma, Vinay Gupta, Daljeet Singh, Jasvir Singh, Rajesh Sharma, Varinder Gupta, Aman Goswami, Harvinder Singh
