3 vehicles involved in illegal mining seized: Reasi police

REASI, Mar 26: In an action against illegal mining Reasi police seized 03 vehicles involved in theft of minor minerals in different areas of district Reasi.
In incidents of illegal mining at Reasi, one Tractor with trolley bearing Registration No. JK20A 8895 driven by driver namely Kulmeet Sharma S/O Kasturi Lal R/O Kanha, Tehsil Pouni was found carrying illegal mining material (Nallah Boulders) in the JD of P/S Pouni seized by team of Police Station Pouni and DMO Reasi informed accordingly.
In another incident of illegal mining two dumpers bearing registration No. JK02 DB 7724 and JK14 H 6655 have been apprehended loaded with RBM which were found plying without DMO receipt, seized in Reasi Block by team of Police Station Reasi and DMO Reasi informed accordingly. The whole operation has been led by SHO Reasi and Pouni under supervision of DySP HQ Reasi Neeraj Padyar- JKPS.
While giving the details SSP Reasi Mohita Sharma-IPS conveyed that Reasi Police is committed for protecting the public property & 'Rights of Consumer' & enforcing genuine rates of goods & services in the jurisdiction. Police is also committed to eradicate the menace illegal mining and other mining related issues in the area. Persons found indulging in illegal extraction activities shall be dealt with as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighborhoods with their concerned police units.
