Narcotic smuggling bid foiled, two held with 200 grams Charas in Banihal area

RAMBAN, Mar 26: Cracking down heavily on Narcotics smuggling under Operation Sanjeevani Ramban Police under the overall supervision of SSP Ramban Anuj Kumar IPS, foiled a Narcotics smuggling bid at Banihal and arrested two persons with Charas.
A police party of Police Station Banihal while conducting checking at T Chowk Banihal stopped two pedestrian.
On questioning they disclosed their identity as Umar Sharief son of Mohd Sharie and Musavir Hussian Shah son of Imtiyaz Hussian both resident of kaskoot, Tehsil Banihal District Ramban.
During the process of checking Charas approximately 200 gms was recovered from their possessions.
A case FIR No 41/2024 under relevant sections of NDPS Act registered at PS Banihal.
The accused persons have been arrested and contraband seized, investigation of the case going on to prove backward and forward linkages.
The arrest and recovery was made Police team of PS Banihal headed by SHO Banihal under the supervision of SDPO Banihal and overall supervision by SSP Ramban.
