| Drug peddler arrested, Ganja recovered | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 26: Jammu police continuing its drive under operation Sanjeevani against drug peddlers,on 22.03.2024 Police Party of Police Station R.S Pura while on routine patrolling established naka at Canal road Sunderpur, Near Mohan Vihar Colony for checking/frisking. During naka checking/frisking police party found one pedestrian on the way from Badyal Quazian towards Sunderpur. On seeing police party, the said pedestrian turned back and try to flee from the spot. On this police party of P/S R.S Pura successfully overpowered the pedestrian. On preliminary questioning the said person disclosed his name as Jeet Raj S/o Om Parkash R/o W No.10 R.S Pura Tehsil R.S Pura District Jammu. During his personal search 200 grams of Ganja like substance recovered from his possession.
In this regard,case FIR No. 56/2024 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act stand registered with this police station and investigation of the case entrusted to PSI Sandeep Kumar Raju.Further investigation is going on.
People have applauded the efforts of Jammu Police in acting tough against the drug peddlers.
Jammu Police enjoined upon all citizens of Jammu to be aware of drug menace and report any incident to Jammu Police. The identity of the person informing regarding this menace will not be disclosed to anyone. |
