Kashmiri youth's aspiration towards Nation-Building puts divisive leaders in frustration in Valley: Kavinder
3/26/2024 10:26:40 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 26: Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister today launched a scathing attack on certain political leaders in the Kashmir Valley who are unable to accept the changing mindset of the Kashmiri youth, who are increasingly aligning themselves with nation-building rather than divisive ideologies.
Speaking to media persons after attending a meeting at Party Headquarters here today, the senior BJP leader hailed the recent decision of the kin of two prominent separatist leaders in Kashmir, Sama Shabir and Ruwa Shah, to distance themselves from separatist outfits, calling it a significant step towards peace and prosperity. By doing so, they have not merely shown symbolically but also practically validated the aspirations of the youth of Kashmir, who yearn for a conflict-free and stable future, he added.
"Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kashmir has witnessed a massive transformation, and the youth no longer want to be a part of divisive politics perpetuated by certain Valley-based parties," he added.
Kavinder highlighted that repealing of Article 370 marked the end of the era of stone pelting and strike culture in Kashmir. Today's youth are eager to actively participate in nation-building, as they envision a prosperous future under the present Central Government. With the removal of barriers and the implementation of progressive policies, the youth of Kashmir are determined to leave behind the tumultuous past and embrace a future filled with opportunities and growth, he added.
He strongly lambasted the reaction of PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti, whose frustration is evident due to her party's absence from power after enjoying it for two generations in Jammu and Kashmir. He stated that Mehbooba is amongst several leaders who have lost their political ground, not only across the Union Territory of J&K but also within their constituencies.
The senior BJP leader asserted that such leaders see no hope of returning to power and therefore, believe that they can gain support through divisive tactics. However, the people of Jammu and Kashmir are not fooled by their game plans. In the upcoming Lok Sabha polls in the Union Territory, the voters will be the ultimate judge and will serve a fitting response to those running on divisive agendas, he added.
The former deputy Chief Minister emphasized the need for unity, progress, and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir, and urged the youth to aspire towards nation-building and a brighter future for themselves and their fellow citizens.
