Two drug peddlers apprehended with 4.78 grms of heroin

JAMMU, Mar 27: Continuing its drive against drug peddlers Under operation Sanjeevani Jammu Police on 26.03.2024 arrested two drug peddlers namely Tahir Iqbal S/O Muneer Hussain Shah R/o Radio station Poonch and Parveen Akhter W/0 Haroon Lone R/0 Ward no 2 Rajouri with 2.78 grams and 2 grams of heroin (Chitta) like substance respectively recovered from them along with Nexon car bearing registration no. JK12C 7170.
The team headed by SHO Police Station Bahu Fort Inspector Amit assisted by Incharge Police Post Narwal PSI Sanjeev under the supervision of SDPO East Sheezan Bhat-JKPS and SP South Sh.Ajay Sharma-JKPS apprehended the drug peddler and recovered heroine (chitta) like substance from him. In this regard, a case FIR No. 69/2024 U/S 8/21/22/25/29 NDPS ACT has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation of the case taken up.
Jammu Police enjoined upon all citizens of Jammu to be aware of drug menace and report any incident to Jammu Police. The identity of person informing regarding this menace will not be disclosed to anyone.
