SSP conducts introductory meeting with senior citizens to address community concerns

KISHTWAR, Mar 27: Today, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishtwar, Abdul Qayoom-JKPS, convened a significant meeting with the esteemed senior citizens of District Kishtwar at the District Police Headquarters (DPO) Kishtwar.
The meeting served as a platform for the venerable citizens of Kishtwar to voice their concerns and articulate their suggestions for the betterment of the community.
During the meeting, President of the senior citizens council, Sh. Roshan Lal, highlighted prevalent issues such as sanitation, the eradication of drug abuse, reckless bike stunts, road safety measures, and alleviating traffic congestion. Additionally, the senior citizens underscored the importance of addressing the specific needs of the elderly population.
SSP Kishtwar, Abdul Qayoom-JKPS, attentively listened to the suggestions and grievances put forth by the senior citizens, assuring them that their voices would not only be heard but also translated into actionable measures on the ground. He further appealed to the esteemed citizens to collaborate closely with the Kishtwar Police Department in its mission to foster community development and combat substance abuse. Moreover, SSP Kishtwar encouraged the senior citizens to actively contribute their insights and recommendations for the successful implementation of the Nasha Mukth Bharat Abhiyan, an initiative aimed at curbing drug abuse within the district.
