| Hajj Committee invites Khudams | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, FEB 28: The J&K State Haj committee, Baitul Hujaj (Haj House) Bemina, Srinagar, invites applications for consideration of nomination as Khudam-ul-Hujaj for Haj 1430 (H) 2009 (AD). The applicant should be a government servant working in the pay scale, the minimum of which is not less than Rs.4000, such as BDO Tehsildar or School Teacher etc but he should not be a senior officer like class-I officer of Central or State government or of an All India Service Cadre. The application (male only) should be between the age of 25 and 50 years. He should be an active person of sound health, with experience of dealing with crowds, such as in mosques or other religious congregations. He should have attended Orientation Training camp organized by Haj committee of India/State Haj Committee. He should have performed Haj himself and the applicant should be cognizant of the Haj related activities. He should have international passport. The applicant should furnish “Good Conduct” and “No Objection Certificate” from his department. The application not accompanied by these certifies shall not be entertained. A person who has once served as a Khudam-ul-Hujaj and against whom there are adverse observations by the Consulate General of India, Jeddah will not be considered. An individual who has been deputed as Khudam-ul-Hujaj twice earlier shall not be considered. The applicant shall have to enclose, with the application a solemn declaration/undertaking in the prescribed format. Applications complete in all respects should be submitted in the office of J&K State Haj Committee, Bait-ul-Hujaj (Haj House), Bemina Srinagar by or before the closing date. The last date for receiving the applications in the office of J&K State Haj Committee Bait-ul-Hujaj (Haj House) Bemina Srinagar is 30th May 2009. Prescribed ‘application form, the specimen of the ‘undertaking /affidavit’ and guidelines for selection/duties of Khudam-ul-Hujaj’ can be obtained from the office of the J&K State Haj Committee and Deputy Commissioner, Jammu.
