| Illicit liquor recovered; accused arrested, FIR lodged: Reasi Police | | |  Early Times Report
REASI, Mar 29: Continuing the drive against drug abuse and illicit liquor launched by District Police Reasi. Reasi Police recovered illicit liquor and arrested the bootlegger involved in smuggling the illicit liquor.
Police party of Police Post Kakryal laid a surprise naka at Sool area, During checking and frisking apprehended one person namely Manohar Lal S/O Dewan chand R/ O Seen Brahmana Udhampur and recovered 38 bottles of 250 ml JK special desi whisky carrying in scooty bearing Registration No. JK14J 2594. In this regard cognizance taken and FIR U/S 48 (a) of Excise Act stands registered at P/S katra. Further investigation of the case is in progress.
SSP Reasi Mohita Sharma-IPS while sharing the details conveyed that Reasi police under is committed to eradicate the menace of drug abuse and illicit liquor smuggling from the area and people from all sections of the society should come forward and join hands with Police to strengthen anti-drug drive of District Police Reasi and share any information regarding such illegal activities on district police anti drug helpline no. 9070907017 where identity of caller is kept secret. |
