Conducted in collaboration with Government Degree College Paloura (GDC), Jammu, this pioneering endeavor aims to equip female candidates with essential journalistic skills and empower them to become catalysts for change within their communities.
The inauguration ceremony, graced by esteemed dignitaries including Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor of CUJ, and Prof. Ashu Vashist, Principal of GDC Paloura, emphasized the critical role of education and skill development in advancing gender equality and socio-economic progress. Prof. Jaya Bhasin, Dean of CUJ's School of Business Studies, underscored the significance of women's empowerment in rural areas and highlighted the program's alignment with governmental agendas focused on education and skill enhancement for women.
Dr. Neelika Arora, Associate Professor at CUJ, emphasized the importance of adaptability and continuous learning in today's rapidly evolving professional landscape. She stressed the transformative potential of community journalism in addressing local challenges and amplifying women's voices. Dr. Shahid Mushtaq, Assistant Professor, outlined CUJ's commitment to nurturing entrepreneurship and meaningful engagement, aiming to empower women as creators of opportunities rather than mere job seekers.
The program, part of CUJ's broader vision for a skilled and empowered India by 2047, received enthusiastic participation from attendees.
