3/29/2024 10:14:00 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 29: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta on Friday said that performance of Union Government led by PM Narendra Modi has remained phenomenal in bringing about positive changes in the lives of the poor and underprivileged in the past one decade.
The BJP stalwart was addressing a mammoth gathering at Bazigar Basti and Bahu Fort areas of Jammu City to garner support for his party in wake of forthcoming Lok Sabha polls.
Kavinder said that NITI Aayog has endorsed that over 25 crore population had been pulled out of poverty over the past decade by envisaging a multitude of public welfare schemes. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi firmly believed that the development process of the country must pass through the establishment of state of art infrastructure, which acts as a medium for sustainable and inclusive growth. He said that Modi Government has ensured implementation of this principle on ground to help the underprivileged classes to overcome dearth, hardships and poverty.
The senior BJP leader claimed that no government in the past had done so much for the poor like the Modi regime as it has tailored dozens of schemes exclusively for the poor strata to bail it out from the morass, which it confronted for the last many decades due to indifference of successive governments.
Assuring that PM Modi has much more in the offing for those who are still struggling to fight poverty, the senior party functionary sought wholehearted support of the people in the Lok Sabha polls and the Assembly elections to be held at a later stage for realizing the unfulfilled dreams of the people in the shortest possible time. He said, "PM Modi has fulfilled all his promises made in run up to polls in 2014 and 2019, thus it is time now for the people of J&K to reciprocate positively to strengthen hands of PM Modi for another term to fulfill the remaining demands of the people and making nation strong economically, socially and militarily as well".
During the meetings, Sharda Kumari former Corporator, Karuna Chettri, Vivek Patyal, Rattan Lal, Raj Kumar spoke on the occasion.
Prominent among those who were present include Rattan Lal, Vijay Kumar, Hans Raj, Vivek Patyal, Karuna Khetri, Girdhari Lal, Roshan Lal, Sajan Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Giani Ram, Narinder, Chanda, Jugnu, Raj Kumar, Barfi and Raj Kumar.
