| GDC Vijaypur organizes awareness campaign | | | Early Times Report
VIJAYPUR, Mar 30: As part of Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) campaign, NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) of Government Degree College Vijaypur organized an awareness campaign in Higher Secondary Schools around College to raise awareness regarding the importance of voting to the 18+ students and staff of the higher secondaries. This event was also aimed at making students of 12th standard of the higher secondaries aware about the on-going admission process by CUET-2024 under NEP 2020. They were also awared about the subject combinations and streams offered by GDC Vijaypur. The event was marked by enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members of the higher secondaries, all coming together to advocate for democracy and emphasize the importance of voting.
The event covered Government Higher Secondary School Rahya, Government Higher Secondary School Smailpur and Government Higher Secondary School Jakh. The primary objective of the campaign was to raise awareness about the significance of democratic participation, particularly in the context of the upcoming elections. The NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) aimed to encourage people to exercise their right to vote and engage in the democratic process actively.
The awareness campaign commenced with an opening speech by Dr. Vandana Gupta, Principal of the College where she highlighted the fundamental principles of democracy and the responsibility of every citizen to contribute to the electoral process with a message urging people to vote. The awareness campaign succeeded in capturing the attention of the college/school community and beyond, drawing interest from students, faculty, and local residents alike.
