Grand farewell organized for retiring Library Assistant at GDC Paloura

JAMMU, Mar 30: In a heartfelt gesture of appreciation and gratitude, Government Degree College (GDC), Paloura (Mishriwala) bid farewell to Rajesh Sharma, a dedicated Library Assistant, on the occasion of his superannuation after 33 years of exemplary service in the Department of Higher Education, Government of Jammu and Kashmir.
The grand farewell function, held on March 30, 2024, at the college premises, was a testament to the esteemed legacy of Rajesh Sharma's contributions. Accompanied by his wife, Kiran Sharma, and their children, Pragun Sharma and Sagaraika Sharma, Rajesh Sharma was warmly welcomed by the Principal and staff of GDC Paloura.
Having commenced his journey as a Library Bearer in 1992, Rajesh Sharma's dedication and commitment were evident as he served in various prominent colleges across the Jammu division, including GGM Science College, PSPS College for Women Gandhi Nagar, and MAM College.
Throughout his illustrious career, Rajesh Sharma was esteemed for his values of discipline, dedication, honesty, humbleness, and efficiency, which left an indelible mark on the educational institutions he served.
In a touching address, Prof (Dr) Ashu Vashisht, Principal of GDC Paloura, extended heartfelt congratulations to Rajesh Sharma on his well-deserved retirement and conveyed warm wishes for a happy and prosperous post-retirement life. The sentiment was echoed by all the staff members, both teaching and non-teaching, who joined in congratulating Rajesh Sharma and expressing their best wishes for his continued good health and happiness in the years ahead.
The farewell program culminated with a formal lunch arranged in honor of the retiring official, fostering an atmosphere of camaraderie and fond memories as colleagues came together to celebrate the remarkable career of Rajesh Sharma and bid him a fond farewell into the next chapter of his life.
