Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 30: In a bid to ensure road safety and uphold traffic regulations, the District Police Kishtwar undertook a decisive action against traffic violators, resulting in the challaning of 82 vehicles within Kishtwar town. Under the directives of SSP Kishtwar, Abdul Qayoom-JKPS, the operation dubbed "3rd Eye Kishtwar" targeted offenses including rash driving, lack of helmet usage, and wrongful parking.
Employing advanced technological aids such as CCTV surveillance systems and number plate recognition mechanisms, the police meticulously identified instances of traffic violations. Photographs and video evidence were gathered to substantiate the infractions, ensuring a thorough enforcement of the Motor Vehicle Act.
Following the identification of the errant vehicles and their owners, the District Police took swift action by dispatching challans along with photographic evidence directly to the residential addresses of the violators. This proactive approach not only serves as a deterrent to future violations but also underscores the commitment of the authorities towards fostering a culture of compliance with traffic regulations.
The vehicle numbers of the offenders, including JK178825, JK063026, JK17A6793, JK178548, among others, were among those identified for infractions. The comprehensive crackdown targeted various violations, ranging from improper parking to overloading, reflecting the gravity of the enforcement efforts undertaken by the District Police Kishtwar.
This initiative underscores the resolve of the authorities to prioritize road safety and uphold traffic discipline within the region. By leveraging technological innovations and adopting a proactive enforcement approach, the District Police Kishtwar aims to instill a sense of responsibility among motorists and ensure the safety of all road users.
