Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 30: Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President of J&K National Conference, today strongly criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for its lack of substantive agenda and tactics of misleading the public with fake narratives.
In a statement issued here today, the senior NC leader asserted that the entire BJP leadership seems to be frustrated, lacking an agenda, as the Saffron party has miserably failed to fulfill the poll promises made with the people during the 2014 and 2019 elections.
The Provincial President criticized the BJP for its deceitful tactics in spreading false narratives on the name of unprecedented development. He stated that the BJP has nothing in its kitty to show the people, and is facing criticism from the public for inflation, unemployment, corruption, and other issues.
Exposing BJP's apprehension regarding the elections, the senior NC leader claimed that the entire BJP leadership is fully aware of the increasing popularity of the National Conference and its potential to secure all the seats of Parliament in the upcoming polls in the Union Territory.
"The focus of BJP seems to solely revolve around criticizing the NC leadership without presenting any substantive achievements or initiatives," he said, adding that the Nation cannot forget the unparalleled sacrifices made by the J&K National Conference in restoring democracy in Jammu and Kashmir during the tumultuous period of 1996 under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Farooq Abdullah. The courageous actions and unwavering commitment of the party members will forever be etched in the annals of history, he added.
Raising serious concern over the hardships being faced by the common masses in absence of popular government in Jammu and Kashmir, Rattan Lal Gupta stated that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are facing numerous problems but the BJP dispensation at the Centre and its proxy administration in J&K are doing nothing except rhetoric and showing dreams to the people with more and more promises made every day as if those sitting at helm will provide moon and stars to the people. He made a bold promise to the people, asserting that the National Conference guarantees to secure their jobs, lands and dignity.
The senior NC leader asserted that the people of J&K have now understood well that BJP leadership has expertise in befooling public in the name of development, therefore it is the time for one and all in the UT to extend wholehearted support to the India alliance candidates in upcoming parliament polls to bail out people from the morass created by BJP Government at the Centre. He also highlighted Party's unwavering commitment to serve the people with utmost dedication and accountability, reiterating that the National Conference will not rest until the people's issues are resolved.
