| Prof. Shohab demands Degree College at Thatri | | |

Jammu, Mar 3- Senior People Democratic Party (PDP) leader Professor Shohab Inayat Malik has demanded setting up of Degree College at Thatri area of Doda district.
According to a statement issued here today, Prof. Shohab while demanding Degree College at Thatri said that the catchment area of Thatri is enough to be justified as the location for Degree College which will not only educate the people but bring the prosperity among them. “The catchment area include Fixu, Zanglarwaar, Premnagar and Barshala, with a population of around 50000 have to come down to Doda or Bhadarwah or Kishtwar for education but many people can not continue their education beyond primary or middle classes because of long distances and poverty,” added Prof Shohab.
PDP leader further said that there are already eight Higher Secondary Schools in the area which can feed this institution of higher learning and make this area better because education is the primary tool for the development and prosperity of an area.
