| Bali demands transfer of overstayed staff from Banihal | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 3- Sewa Singh Bali District President JKNPP District Ramban concluded his week long of Banihal constituency during which he interacted with people of the area and listened to their day-to-day problems. He alleged that 50 percent of government employees posted in Banihal Tehsil are over stayed and even some of them have completed more than 10 years of their service on one post. Quite disregard to the problem of local people they have created their monopoly in the area and departments. These employees have become so much courageous that even a lineman of PDD in Ukhral area of Banihal constituency snapped the power supply to entire area of Ukhral that too one the eve of ‘Shivratri’. Bali urged upon the Chief Minister for taking action against these erring officers and direct to HOD’s of all departments to transfer all the over stayed government employees from the Banihal Tehsil. He also urged upon the Tourism Minister Rigzin Jora to visit the beautiful areas of Sargeli, Sunseri, Sharwadhar, Malinsar, Mahu-Mangat and Neel top of the Banihal Tehsil having great tourist potential which require government attention for its development. He said that if these areas are developed it will provide employment to thousand of unemployed youth of the area. He demanded a high level inquiry into the alleged misappropriation of funds and also to assess the damage caused to the land and tress due to landslides and strongly urged the government to compensate for the losses suffered by the farmers.
