Police apprehends 5 absconders in a week, including one evading arrest for 28 years

RAMBAN, Mar 31: SSP Ramban Anuj Kumar- IPS consistuted special police teams to apprehend the absonders wanted in various cases.
The dedicated police teams in the Police Sub-Division Ramban apprehended 05 absconders wanted in various FIRs of Police Station Ramban, Chanderkote and Batote.
Police team of PS Batote headed by SHO Batote apprehended an absconder
Ashwani Kumar S/O Devandra Nath R/O Rehari Colony, Jammu wanted in case FIR No. 82/1994 u/s 279/304-A RPC who was evading his arrest since last 28 years.A General Warrant of Arrest was issued by the Hon'ble court of U/S 512 CrPC against the above named accused in the year 1996.
The police team of PS Ramban headed by SHO Ramban apprehended 03 absconders wanted in 03 different cases
Parvaz Ahmed @Papu Pathan S/O Gulam Qadir R/O Gopal pura Shiv Madaan Anantnag wanted in case FIR No 130/2017 U/S 188 RPC 3 PCA Act of PS Ramban.
Shabir Ahmed S/O Mohd Hanif Cast shiekh resident of Nabul Balihote tehsil and District Ramban wanted in case FIR No 03/2022 U/S 457/389/201 IPC of PS Ramban.
Mohd Afzal S/O Iftqar Khatana R/O Jasrota Kathua wanted in case FIR No 101/2022 U/S 188 109 IPC 3 PCA Act
Police team of PS Chanderkote headed by SHO Chanderkote appherended one absconder,
5.Riyaz Ahmed son of Ghulam Ahmed Bhat resident of Patel Bagh,Pampore, District Pulwama wanted in case FIR No.57/2015 under section 379/341/34/413 RPC
The accused persons named above were absconding and evading their arrests with a motive to avoid the legal proceedings.
The Police team of PS Batote and Chanderkote after hectic efforts produced the absconder mentioned at S.No 1 and 5 respectively before the Hon'ble court of Sub Judge Batote and Police team of PS Ramban produced absconders mentioned at S.No 2,3 and 4 before the Hon,ble Court at Ramban under the supervision DySP Hqrs Ramban, Adl.SP Ramban and overall supervision of SSP Ramban.
