DODA, Mar 31: Continuing its special drive to tighten the noose of bootleggers, drug peddlers and other criminals ,Doda Police has recovered huge quantity of illicit liquor In Dharyouth area of Gandoh.
Giving details Doda Police said that based on a specific information regarding manufacturing of illicit liquor, a police team of Police Station Gandoh headed by Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday assisted by PSI Parvez Ali raided the house of one Balwant Raj s/o Dina Nath R/O Dharyouth and during search, 05 Ltrs of illicit liquor, around 50 Ltrs of Lahan and apparatus was recovered from the spot.
In this connection, case FIR No. 20/2024 under relevant section under excise act has been registered at PS Gandoh and investigation started.
Doda Police has launched a special drive against bootleggers, drug smugglers, bovine smugglers and has reiterated the appeal to general pubic to cooperate and assist the police so that drug smuggling, manufacturing/selling of illicit liquor and other crime related activities are rooted out from the society and crime free atmosphere is built up. |
