3/31/2024 10:46:12 PM
Early Times Report

RS PURA, Mar 31: Taranjit Singh Tony, General Secretary of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee and DDC Suchetgarh, today emphasized the urgent need to protect India's Constitution and democracy by rooting the BJP out of power.
He referred to this endeavor as the "second war of independence," highlighting the immense significance of safeguarding democratic values and principles.
Speaking at the programme held here today, the senior Congress leader conveyed a strong opinion that the ruling party's actions have jeopardized the very essence of democracy.
He declared, "Our fight to remove the BJP from power is not just a political battle but a fight for the soul of our nation.
This is a second war of independence, where we must defend our Constitution, protect our democracy, and ensure that every voice is heard."
Highlighting concerns about eroding democratic values, Tony criticized the government's policies that have marginalized certain communities and weakened institutions. He emphasized that the Loktantra Bachao Rally organised in Delhi aiming to unite all Indians who are deeply committed to upholding the principles of justice, equality, and inclusivity.
Tony further stated, "Our Constitution guarantees every citizen the right to speak, the right to express, and the right to dissent.
It is our duty to ensure these fundamental rights are protected. That is why the Loktantra Bachao Rally was organised in Delhi, to send a clear message to those in power that we will not stand idly by and watch our democracy crumble."
Among those who were present include former Sarpanch Sham Lal, youth leader Mandeep Choudahry, Rashpal Singh Gill, former Sarpanch Tilak Raj Bhagat, former Sarpanch Lucky, former Sarpanch Capt Hazara Singh and former Sarpanch Satvinder Singh.
