| ‘Forces to vacate public buildings on alternate options’ | | |

Replying to another question by Mr. Nizam-ud-Din Khatana, the Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Mr. Taj Mohi-ud-Din said that as soon as alternate accommodation is made available to the security forces occupying public places, the same would be handed over to them for emptying the occupied public buildings.
The Minister replying to a question by Mr. Nizam-ud-Din Khatana said that the government intends to shift security forces from State land and other public places to alternate accommodations being constructed under a scheme funded by the Government of India.
He said that some portion of the Public Health Centre Larnoo is under the occupation of security forces. However, the security forces use separate entry and exit points and there presence does not unduly affect the routine work of the Centre. Efforts are also being made to construct alternate accommodation for the security forces occupying the PHC.
Replying to another question by Mr. Nassrullah, Mr Taj said that it is a fact that under some cases rentals and compensation have not been paid to the owners, whose lands have been occupied by the security forces in Kargil district. He said that the issue has been taken up with the Defence Ministry by the Chief Minister and the Ministry has acceded that the rentals and compensation would be given very soon in respect of the effected persons whose cases are pending since long.
