DPS Udhampur celebrates April Cool Day

UDHAMPUR, Apr 1: DPS Udhampur embraced the spirit of environmental consciousness and academic vigor as it celebrated April Cool Day under the theme "PARIVARTAN - Better, Greener Future Tomorrow." The event, aimed at fostering the holistic development of students and nurturing them into climate-conscious global citizens, saw enthusiastic participation from students and faculty alike.
As part of the festivities, students planted a variety of saplings, including Ashoka, Neem, Belpatra, Tulsi, Herb plants, and Fruit plants, within the school premises. This initiative aimed to instill in young minds the importance of sustainable development and responsible environmental stewardship for future generations. By transforming the traditional concept of "Fool Day" into "Cool Day," DPS Udhampur sought to cultivate positive habits and environmental awareness among its students. Notably, DPSU has made it an annual tradition to celebrate April Cool Day, reaffirming its commitment to environmental sustainability year after year.
The significance of the day was further enhanced as Pro Vice Chairman Dr. J. C. Gupta, Managing Director Vivek Gupta, Director Academics Sucheta Gupta, and Principal Dr. Kunal Anand jointly launched the Almanac for the new academic session, themed around "PARIVARTAN." This theme underscores the school's dedication to fostering positive changes that align humans harmoniously with Mother Nature for a better tomorrow.
The pledge for a greener tomorrow was administered by Head Mistress of the Senior Wing, Bhanvi Sharma, underscoring the school's commitment to environmental stewardship. The program was expertly coordinated by Chief CCA Coordinator Bhanvi Sharma, with the gracious presence of Head Mistress of the Junior Wing, Shivani Koul, and Chief Coordinator of the Senior Wing, Sangeeta Nargotra.
The event symbolized DPS Udhampur's unwavering dedication to nurturing responsible and environmentally conscious individuals, preparing them to lead and contribute positively to society and the world at large.
