JAMMU, Apr 1: The dawn of April 1, 2024, heralded a new chapter in the journey of Maharaja Harisingh Agricultural Collegiate School Nagbani, Jammu, as it embarked upon the commencement of the eagerly awaited academic session 2024-25. The occasion was graced by the presence of nearly 200 parents, accompanied by their wards, who gathered to partake in the auspicious ceremonies marking the inception of the new academic year.
The ceremonial proceedings commenced with the traditional garlanding of Maharaja's statue by the esteemed Principal and his dedicated team, symbolizing reverence and homage to the institution's rich heritage. Adding a melodic touch to the proceedings, the school's music department presented soul-stirring bhajans and group songs, infusing the atmosphere with an aura of spirituality and harmony.
Central to the commencement rituals was the sacred Hawan ceremony, a time-honored spiritual practice entailing the chanting of Vedic mantras and the lighting of the sacred fire. The ethereal aroma and the divine energy emanating from the hawan imbued the surroundings with a sense of tranquility and auspiciousness, setting a felicitous tone for the academic journey ahead and fostering a spirit of peace and prosperity among the students.
In his welcoming address, Principal Brij Mohan reiterated the institution's commitment to providing an exceptional learning environment, accentuating the modern infrastructure, expansive playgrounds, verdant green surroundings, well-equipped laboratories, and state-of-the-art classrooms. He highlighted the recent establishment of the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL), aimed at nurturing innovation and excellence among students, and underscored the significance of the DAV National Sports program in enhancing students' prospects in higher education and professional pursuits.
Mohan also lauded the remarkable achievements of the school's students in various sports and co-curricular activities at both national and international levels, attributing the institution's success to the visionary guidance of DAVCMC President Padamshree Punam Suri. Expressing heartfelt gratitude to the parents for their unwavering support and trust in the institute, he urged students and staff alike to embark on the new academic session with boundless enthusiasm and determination.
The ceremonial proceedings culminated with the distribution of prasad, symbolizing blessings and goodwill for the journey ahead, as the Maharaja Harisingh Agricultural Collegiate School Nagbani, Jammu, embarks on yet another year of academic excellence and holistic development.
