HC issues notices against Salman in Black buck poaching case
9/21/2006 8:35:59 PM

Jodhpur, Sep 21 The Rajasthan High Court has issued notices
to actors Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Neelam and Dushyant Singh
after hearing the review petitions filed by the state government in
the infamous Kankani Black buck poaching case.
After hearing both sides, the High Court judge S P Pathak issued
notices to main accused Salman and co-actors yesterday. The High
Court had earlier issued notices to co-accused Sonali Bendre and Tabu
after hearing the petitions filed against them. The next hearing on
the review petitions will be held on October 6.
The state government had filed review petition in the High Court
after the Upper District and Sessions Court had provided relief to
the accused under Section 147,148 and 149 of India Penal Code and to
Salman under Section 27 of Indian Arms Act.
The accused had filed review petitions in the Sessions court for
relief. Charges have now been framed against the accused under
Section 51 and 52 in Wildlife Protection Act.
On October 1-2, 1998, Salman is alleged to have killed two black
bucks in Kankani village in the Luni area.
