JAMMU, Apr 2: In anticipation of the upcoming festivals, Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, the Chairperson of the Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board, undertook a comprehensive review of arrangements at prominent religious sites including Eidgah in Jammu, the shrine complex at Manda, and the shrine of Peerbaba Budan Ali Shah in Satwari. Accompanied by Waqf Board officers and representatives from various departments, Dr. Andrabi ensured meticulous planning and execution of arrangements for the upcoming Juma-tul-Vida, Shab-e-Qadr, and Eid-al-Fitr congregations.
During the visit, Dr. Andrabi emphasized the importance of providing foolproof arrangements to facilitate the smooth conduct of these significant religious gatherings. She directed concerned officers to leave no stone unturned in ensuring that devotees are provided with all necessary facilities and amenities. Dr. Andrabi reiterated the commitment of the Waqf Board to extend requisite support to devotees participating in special festival congregations, underscoring the Board's dedication to serving the community.
"We are committed to providing all facilities to the people, and the Board is working in coordination with other departments to ensure that all arrangements are in place," stated Dr. Darakhshan. She acknowledged the cooperation extended by the people of the Union Territory, emphasizing that their support has been instrumental in re-establishing trust and fostering collaboration between the community and the Waqf Board. Dr. Andrabi expressed gratitude for the collective efforts that have enabled the Board to excel in its endeavors towards progress and development.
The visit by Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi reflects the proactive approach of the Waqf Board in ensuring the smooth conduct of religious events and upholding the sanctity of these sacred occasions.
