Drivers booked for rash, negligent driving, overloading in passenger vehicles

Rajouri, Apr 4: Police in Kandi police station of Rajouri has booked driver of a bus and of a minibus for overloading and resorting to risky and rash driving endangering lives of passengers.
Police said that two vehicles bearing registration numbers bus JK02AL 1361 and a mini bus without registration number were on its way from Badhal towards Kotranka and drivers were driving both the vehicles in rash and negligent manner in order to surpass each other risking the lives of passengers.
They were also trying to overtake each other on sharp curves.
A police party of Kandi police station headed by SHO Shakeel Manhas intercepted both the vehicles.
The bus bearing registration number JK02AL1361 was being driven by Kuldeep Singh son of Kamal Singh resident of Badhal and vehicle was found overloaded with ten whereas mini bus, without registration number, was being driven by Jaswant Singh son of Thakur Singh resident of Kangota Khawas and it was found overloaded with nine passengers.
On this, a case in FIR 36/2024 U/Ss 279/336/194A, 184 MV Act was registered at police station Kandi and investigation of the case is going on.
