| Chairman reviews recovery position of Citizens’ Cooperative Bank | | | Early times report Jammu, Mar 4-Chairman Citizens’ Cooperative Bank Dinesh Gupta reviewed the targets of deposits and recoveries of branches and extension counters at a meeting here today which among others was attended by the vice chairman of the Bank Narinder Singh. Addressing the meeting of the managers and staff of the bank, the Chairman emphasized upon the officers to contact workers, labourers and low income group persons and open their saving bank accounts (Non frill) with minimum balance of Rs.10 which would make such accounts accessible to the vast sections of population, especially the weaker sections of the society. He advised the branch managers to ensure achievement of the targets of opening non frill accounts and also stressed for initiating steps to recover delinquent loans by adopting all possible measures available for the purpose. The Deputy Chairman who also addressed the meeting directed branches to achieve targets of deposits and recoveries to further improve the position of the bank. He emphasized branches to effect recoveries in NPAs to reduce it further in comparison to the last year’s figures.
