GCW Gandhinagar hosts Iftar Party, fostering diversity, inclusivity among students

JAMMU, Apr 5: Government College For Women, Gandhinagar, in a celebration of unity and cultural exchange, hosted an Iftar party within the college hostel mess, promoting diversity and inclusivity among its student body. The event provided a heartwarming atmosphere for students to break their fast together and partake in a variety of delicious traditional dishes and refreshments. Over 200 hostel students enthusiastically participated in the festivities, reflecting the college's commitment to embracing diversity and fostering a sense of belonging among its students. The occasion was graced by the presence of the college's esteemed Principal, Dr. S.P. Saraswath, who, along with members of the hostel committee, joined in the celebration. Prof. Saraswath emphasized the significance of such events in nurturing tolerance, respect, and cultural exchange among the student community. Dr. Rupinder Kour, the convenor of the Hostel Committee, expressed delight at the spirit of unity fostered by hostel life, highlighting its role in promoting inclusivity within society. She further commended the efforts of the students in organizing the event seamlessly. The hostellers extended their heartfelt gratitude to the Principal for hosting the Iftar party, expressing their appreciation for the inclusive environment created by the college. Among the distinguished guests were members of the Hostel Committee including Dr. Renu Anand, Dr. Neelima, Prof. Vijender, the staff secretary, and Prof. Himani Arora Prof. Anuradha, in delivering the vote of thanks, lauded the students for their exemplary organization of the party and commended their discipline throughout the event.
