PHE Association constitutes body in Muthi sub-division

Jammu, Mar 4- Water Works Employees Association today constituted a body of PHE city Div-I Muthi sub-division, Jammu with Amrik Singh its president.
Announcing this at a well attended meeting of PHE workers here today, Charanjit Singh President of the Association has asked the leaders of various unions in the state to fight unitedly for the cause of employees and the labour class who are facing tremendous hardships due to various problems.
The other office bearers of the committee include Tilak Raj and Rajesh Kumar as vice presidents, Anoop Singh secretary, Suresh Kumar general secretary, Bhan Chand advisor, Satish Kumar cashier and Pawn Kumar vice cashier.
The members of the executive body appointed include Gurdayal, Des Raj, Sham Lal and Parshotam Kumar.

‘Brijees Qadar Ka Kumba’, presented by GWC Gandhinagar adjudged best one act play
Jammu, Mar 4- ‘Brijees Qadar Ka Kumba’ an adaptation of the Spanish Play’ The house of Barnada Alba’ in Urdu by Raghuveer Sahai and presented by the Government College for Women Gandhinagar was adjudged as the best play in the inter-collegiate one act play
competition held by the Department of Students Welfare University of Jammu under the final phase of ‘Display your Talent 2008-09’.
A play entitled ‘Khudha Qasam’ in Hindustani based on the story of Sadat Hussain Mantoo, staged by Government Women college Parade and the play’ the refund’ presented by the team from GGM, Science College(morning) bagged second and third prize respectively.
Bhasha Sumbli acting as Birjees Qadar in the play Brijees Qadar Ka Kumba received the best actress award for her individual acting, while Ifra Mushtaq as ‘Pagali Budiya’ in Khudha Qasam was adjudged as the second best actress. Priya Raina as Hassan Baandi in the play ‘Brijees Qadar ka kumba’ clinched the third prize.
In the male category, Sarang Vaid and Vikas Sharma both from GGM Science college (morning) were adjudged as the best actor and the second best actor respectively for their acting in the play’ the refund’. Syed Azhar of the same College (evening) was adjudged as third best actor for his role in the play “Gori Maa ke kale Bachche’.
Certificates of merit were awarded to Harmeet Kour and Deepak Kumar from GGM Science College and Ritu Singh of Government Women College Gandhinagar.
Prof. Dhian S. Bahu Dean Students Welfare University of Jammu presented the prizes to the winners.
