3 drug peddlers of arrested by Police, contraband seized

JAMMU, Apr 5: Continuing its efforts to curb the menace of drugs from the society and tightening noose against drug peddlers under operation SANJEEVENI.
Gangyal Police arrested three drug peddler and recovered 14 gms herion (chitta) like substance from them.
On 03/04/2024 during naka checking a Police party of Police Station Gangyal led by PSI Aaqib Lateef assisted while performing vehicle checking *one vehicle bearing registration No. JK21C-2479 was coming from Bari Brahmna towards Kunjwani side was signalled to stop for checking purpose in which three persons were boarded.
During their physical search 05 grms of Heroin like Psychotropic Substance was recovered from the possesion of the car driver namely Danish Yousuf S/O Mohd Yousuf R/O Magam, Kulgam, 05 gms Heroin like substance recovered from accused namely Ikhalas Ahmed Wani S/O Gulzar Ahmed R/O Gulshan Abad Rajpora Pulwama and 04 gms heroin like substance was recovered from another accused namely Mohd Bilal S/O Bilal Ahmed Khan R/o Pulwama, a total of 14 gms heroin (chitta) like substance was recovered from the vehicle. In this regard, a case FIR No. 32/24 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Gangyal and further investigation is going on.
People have applauded the efforts of Jammu Police in acting tough against the drug peddlers.
