General and Police observer visits Samba to oversee election preparedness

SAMBA, Apr 5: General observer for 5-Jammu parliamentary constituency Rahul Ranjan Mahiwal and Police Observer, Gajarao Bhupal visited Samba to oversee election preparedness. He held meeting with Assistant Returning Officers(AROs) and Nodal officers at Conference Hall, Samba.
General observer advised the Nodal officers to continue their efforts, work with dedication. He emphasized on the need for strict adherence to election rules and regulations, especially in ensuring free and fair polling process and urged the Nodal officers to be vigilant in addressing any concerns that may arise.
DEO Samba, Abhishek Sharma and SSP Samba, Vinay kumar breifed the chair regarding the election preparedness including enforcement of model code of conduct, expenditure monitoring, security plan, transport amd communication plan and the functioning of VSTs and FSTs and coordination efforts to ensure a successful election process.
Nodal Officers gave brief reports on action taken and next course of action. The DEO presented District Election Management Plan (DEMP) to General Observer.
After the meeting, the General Observer appreciated the election preparedness. Thereafter, they inspected MCMC, Complaint management Cell, Video viewing team and Assistant Expenditure Observers cell established in Conclave Hall.
Among others, ADDC Samba, Champa Devi, ADC Samba Suresh Chander, GM DIC Gurpreet Singh, ACR, Dr Kusum Chib, Deputy District Election Officer Samba, Harvinder Singh, DIO, Ashiq Rafiq Malik and others district and Sectoral officers attended the meeting.
