Women Welfare Society organizes awareness camps

Jammu, Mar 4- Women Welfare Society Gujjar Nagar organized awareness camps on
‘climatic changes’ at village Durgacheck Sangrampur and at Government Middle School
Patniyal in Marh block. Union Ministry of Environment, Education and Trainings
in collaboration with WWF India sponsored the program.
Former Director ISM Dr. VDS Jamwal was the chief guest on the occasion.
At both these camps over 200 women of the area took part in the programme and were
acquainted about the causes of the climatic changes and their effects.
Several species of plants like Neem, Amla, Mango, Jamon were planted during the camp.
The president of the society Swarn Lal thanked the organizers for holding such camps in
rural areas and stressed the need for organizing such awareness camps more frequently.
