| GDC Bishnah organizes 5-day long plantation drive | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 8: Eco-club, GDC Bishnah in collaboration with Department of Botany organised 5-day long Plantation drive w.e.f 4th April 2024 to 8th April 2024 under the theme "Plantation for Green campus" The programme was organised under the able guidance of Dr.Shallu Samyal, Principal of the college. The aim of the Plantation drive was to foster among students the importance of plants for survival of life on planet Earth and to make campus green and beautiful.
Prof. Sania Hamid Convener, Eco club and HoD Botany delivered a formal welcome speech. She briefed that the motive of organizing this event is to raise awareness on changing climatic conditions Plantation drive commenced on 4th of April in which Senior faculty members, students of the college and members Of Eco-club planted varied saplings along the length and breadth of the campus . On consecutive days of Plantation drive, outgoing students of semester-6 also planted various sapling of plants In the Campus.All students, faculty members as well as non-teaching staff enthusiastically participated in this Plantation drive.
