GDC Kunjwani celebrated Baisakhi-Eid Milan: 'Unity in Diversity'

JAMMU, Apr 8: GDC Kunjwani organized a Mega Cultural Fest to commemorate BAISAKHI-EID Milan on 08-04-2024. The program was Co-ordinated by Cultural Committee in collaboration with NSS Unit under the able guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Manisha Sarup Kohli, Principal of the College. Amidst the vibrant colours of Baisakhi & the serene glow of Eid, the college celebrated 'UNITY IN DIVERSITY'.
Principal extended her warm and good wishes to the students as well as teachers. While speaking on the occasion, she said that May this pious Milan of Baisakhi-Eid bring us closer, weaving a tapestry of love, respect and harmony. Further, she briefed the students about the festival of harvest and acquainted them with rich cultural heritage. She added, Eid, the festival upholds the spirit of brotherhood, Love and secularism. She also envisioned Eid as a celebration and as a means of self-control and self-diagnosis.
The faculty and the students of the college participated in the fest with great fervour and gaiety. They all were decked up in colourful attires. The event began with the lighting of Ceremonial Lamp. In continuation to this, the students of the college resorted to impressive show of talent. They enthralled the gathering with their energetic performance on Bhangra and Gidha. The faculty members also joined the students on the beats of Dhol. The programme concluded with the distribution of sweets to the students. The whole programme was co-ordinated by Prof. Baljinder Kour, Convener Cultural Committee.
