Joint Secretary of NITI Aayog delivered an expert talk at SMVDU

JAMMU, Apr 8: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra organized an expert talk on Mission Lifestyle for Environment. The talk was delivered by Shri Yugal Joshi Joint secretary, NITI AYOG and Director Mission LiFE. The talk was enlightening and inspiring, shedding light on how each one of us can make a difference in preserving our planet through mindful lifestyle choices. He specifically highlighted examples of sustainable living practices and emphasized individual responsibility towards the environment that sparked a significant interest among the students. The chief guest of the event was the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Pragati Kumar. The expert talk was coordinated by Professor of Practice, Uma Devi in the University. The event was organized in collaboration with the NSS unit of the University. Following the expert talk there was a wonderful display of talent by NSS volunteers celebrating their 2nd Foundation day. Songs, poems and classical dance were the highlight of the cultural program. NSS student coordinator Sadhvi Sharma presented a brief presentation of various activities organized by the NSS unit during the last two years. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Pragti Kumar felicitated Shri Yugal Joshi and thanked him for the efforts in finalizing a subject based on Mission LiFE. They also appreciated the efforts of NSS volunteers for their exemplary work in the last two years. NSS volunteers Sadhvi Sharma and Abhishek Kumar Sharma were also awarded for their extraordinary and selfless contribution in the NSS team during the last two years. NSS Programme Coordinator, Dr. Rajiv Kumar and Co-coordinator, Dr. Kamaldeep were also present during the event.
