BJP's non-announcement of candidates for J&K LS seats sign of fear, claims Sadhotra

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 8: Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, Additional General Secretary of the National Conference and former Minister, has lambasted the BJP for not announcing candidates for three Lok Sabha seats in Jammu and Kashmir, alleging it to be a manifestation of fear of defeat.
Speaking at an event attended by prominent National Conference workers in Barnai (Bantalab), Jammu, Sadhotra asserted that the BJP's decision not to field candidates in Poonch-Rajouri-Annantnag, Srinagar, and Baramulla Parliamentary Constituencies reflects their acknowledgment of rejection by the electorate.
He highlighted the critical situation for the BJP in the remaining constituencies of Jammu and Udhampur, citing widespread resentment and disillusionment among the populace due to misgovernance and disconnect with elected representatives.
Expressing confidence in the "INDIA bloc," Sadhotra predicted sweeping victories in all five parliamentary constituencies of Jammu and Kashmir. He criticized the BJP's propaganda and name-calling tactics, attributing them to their fear and frustration ahead of the impending electoral setback.
Sadhotra urged BJP leadership to introspect on their failures in understanding and addressing the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He accused the BJP of pushing the state's population, especially educated unemployed youth, to the brink and generating apprehensions about their land.
Criticizing the BJP for its lack of achievements in the region, Sadhotra highlighted issues such as power shortages, water scarcity, and inadequate delivery of essential services. He called upon voters to support INDIA bloc candidates in the upcoming elections as a rejection of BJP's misrule.
Prominent figures present at the event included Raghubir Singh, District President, Ghar Singh, Ex-Corporator Joint Secretary, and various other leaders from the National Conference and affiliated organizations.
Sadhotra's remarks underscore the intensifying political landscape in Jammu and Kashmir ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, with the BJP facing scrutiny over its governance record and electoral strategy.
