BJP implementing Baba Saheb's Constitution in letter and spirit: Rana
4/8/2024 10:36:51 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 8: Assailing the Congress for its divisive politics, Senior BJP leader Devender Singh Rana today said Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government has been implementing Baba Saheb Dr B.R. Ambedkar's constitution in its entirety embodies the essence of equality, justice, and liberty.
"While the BJP is striving to eliminate caste-based oppression and ensure equal opportunities for all, the Congress led INDI Alliance is pushing the agenda of breaking the society on the basis of castes to achieve its sinister political agenda", Rana today said while addressing a congregation on the 487th Prakash Diwas of Goswami Guru Nabha Dassji Maharaj at Dogra Hall, Jammu.
He said implementing B.R. Ambedkar's constitution in letter and spirit is not just a legal obligation for the BJP but a moral imperative, which the party is shouldering in the spirit of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas. On the contrary, the Congress is fragmenting the Indian society in bits and pieces in desperate pursuit of getting into the cradles of power, he added.
Asserting that the BJP has been a strong proponent of social justice and equitable development in its totality, Mr Devender Rana referred to the initiatives taken during the past one decade to shape the destiny of the nation as a peaceful and harmonious abode for all. This legacy has to be strengthened and bequeathed to posterity with renewed vigour, he said and dwelt in detail the initiatives taken for improving the lives of the weaker and marginalized segments across the country in general and Jammu and Kashmir in particular. He said the vision of transforming Jammu and Kashmir as a progressive and prosperous part of the country can be achieved only when all segments of the society and the regions get equal opportunities to grow and flourish. A classless and inclusive society is key to making it a better place to live in as per the teachings and dreams of great saints and sages, he observed.
Stressing the need for collective efforts in ensuring social justice and empowerment of weaker segments of society, Rana said a big stride has been taken after the abrogation of Article 370 by implementing all the central laws that benefit the weaker section, which remained deprived for over seven decades.
Devender Rana paid tribute to Goswami Guru Nabba Dassji and said that his teachings and path shown to humanity will continue to inspire generation and lead to harmonious growth of the society. He complimented the organizers for holding a befitting congregation to pay homage to Guruji.
Among others who were present on the occasion included Kali Dass, President All J&K Mahasha Sadar Sabha, Neelam Devi Corporator, Birbal, Vijay Mangotra, Narsingh Dass, Darsha Lal.
