| 2 vehicles involved in illegal mining seized by police | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 9: In a quest to stern the menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police in which Police teams of Police Post Belicharana & Police Post Canal acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at multiple locations within their respective jurisdictions and seized 02 vehicles involved in illegal mining.
Detail of the vehicles seized by PP Belicharana:
1 Tractor trolley with sand bearing engine no: EBWOL6493
Detail of vehicle seized by PP Canal:JK21G-7786 (Dumper)
The vehicles were found loaded with minor mineral sand without FormA/permission and so were detained.
DMO Jammu was also intimated about the same. The mining was done in violation of order of Honourable High Court of J&K. In order to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law Jammu Police has inititiated strict action. |
