JAMMU, Apr 9: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta paid obeisance here at Bawe Wali Mata temple on the auspicious first day of Navratras and paid for peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing the significance of religious tourism in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing the media following his visit, Kavinder highlighted the vast potential of religious tourism in the Union Territory, stressing the need for concerted efforts to harness this untapped resource. He called upon all stakeholders to collaborate synergistically to promote religious tourism on a significant scale.
"Navratras and similar religious occasions provide an opportunity to attract tourists to Jammu and Kashmir in large numbers. By enhancing facilities and extending hospitality to visitors, we can showcase the warmth and hospitality of the people of this region, often referred to as the Crown of India," he added.
Kavinder emphasized the importance of strategic planning to create pilgrim circuits across Jammu and Kashmir, leveraging the diverse cultural heritage and natural beauty of the region. He noted that such initiatives not only maximize the potential of religious tourism but also foster social harmony by engaging people from all walks of life.
Highlighting the efforts of the Modi government in developing religious sites under the prestigious Prasad scheme, Kavinder urged the public to support the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls to continue the spress of development in the union territory. He emphasized the government's commitment in advancing tourism infrastructure and facilitating pilgrims' visits to religious sites across the nation. |
