JAMMU, Apr 11: Addressing a public meeting at Halqa Tokdian in Marh, National Conference Additional General Secretary and former minister, Ajay Sadhotra, called upon the people to uphold the integrity of India by rejecting divisive forces and supporting the INDIA Bloc candidates in the upcoming Parliamentary Elections. He emphasized the critical role of voters in safeguarding the nation and preserving the principles of Baba Saheb's Constitution.
Sadhotra highlighted the importance of protecting the Constitution, especially in the face of clandestine attempts by the BJP to undermine its sanctity. He underscored the Constitution's role in shaping India's democratic fabric, emphasizing its values of equality, justice, and fundamental rights for all citizens, as envisioned by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Encouraging voters to fulfill their democratic responsibilities, Sadhotra urged them to safeguard the Constitution's principles and uphold its spirit in all aspects of governance and societal discourse. He emphasized the document's inclusive nature, providing a protective umbrella for all, regardless of region, religion, caste, or ethnicity.
Drawing inspiration from Baba Saheb's wisdom, Mr. Sadhotra called for a reaffirmation of commitment to the ideals of liberty, equality, and fraternity. He urged for dialogue, inclusivity, and adherence to the rule of law to counter divisive political agendas.
Expressing hope for a strong voter turnout on Election Day, Sadhotra urged voters to support INDIA Bloc candidates Raman Bhalla and Lal Singh, aiming to teach the BJP a lesson through the power of the ballot. The public meeting saw the presence of several prominent figures, including Raghubir Singh, District President; Tilak Raj Bhagat, District Secretary; and Ghar Singh, Secretary Jammu Province, among others. Their collective presence emphasized the unity and resolve of the community in safeguarding the nation's democratic values and constitutional principles.
