PM Modi's visionary leadership transformed J&K: Rana
4/11/2024 10:37:27 PM
Early Times Report
AKHNOOR, Apr 11: Senior BJP leader Devender Singh Rana today said the NDA Government led by visionary and decisive Prime Minister Yashasvi Narendra Modi transformed Jammu and Kashmir and cleared the mess created by Congress & its allies over the last 70 years
"J&K's return to stability, development and progress since the transformative changes of August 5-6, 2019 is reflective of intent and determination of the BJP leadership to bring back the Union Territory on the track of peace that remained eluded for over two and half decades due to politico-separatist nexus", Mr Devender Rana said while addressing a public meeting which was among others also attended by Dr. Krishan Lal, Ex MLA Khour here this afternoon.
He said the world is watching the terrorism hub turning into a tourism hub post abrogation of Article 370 with over 21 million tourists visiting the Union Territory in 2023 and, more importantly, the culture of hartals and stone pelting becoming nightmarish of the past. This is huge and an inspiring transformation that has instilled a sense of confidence among the people, who have developed stakes in peace that has emboldened them to isolate the political setup, which had developed vested interest in Kashmir to remain on boil. The restoration of normal activities in the Valley has given a huge boost to adventure and pilgrim tourism besides paving the way for holistic development across the Union Territory, he added.
He said this region, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, has witnessed a concerted effort to address longstanding issues and chart a path towards inclusive growth as per his cherished agenda of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas. He gave credit to the people of all shades of life in Jammu and Kashmir for coming together to rebuild trust and forge a shared vision for the future. Following path breaking initiatives like empowerment through local governance, grassroots democracy, successful conduct of civic elections, enabling huge voter participation, the Union Territory is now embarking on massive participation in the parliamentary elections, he said, exuding confidence that the sagacious voters will put their seal as affirmation of the policies and programmes of the BJP for prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir.
Referring to infrastructural development during the past four and half years, Rana said focus has been on enhancing connectivity, improving access to basic services, and spur overall growth and development. He also referred to the strides made in showcasing the UT's rich cultural heritage and natural beauty that has helped in attracting tourists and fostering socio-economic growth. This would not have become possible without the active support of the people, who succeeded in sending a huge message across the world that the paradise on earth under Narendra Modi was ready to provide a soothing umbrella to nature lovers and spirituality seekers, he added.
Rana said the people of Jammu and Kashmir can now differentiate between good governance and misrule, sincerity of intent and element of corruption, fair-play and discrimination in funds allocation besides fulfillment of aspirations and deprivation. He hoped the people will emulate the same resilience, determination and collective effort they have demonstrated since 2019 to meet the challenges ahead.
