He said that day to day thinking is not critical thinking instead it is deep thinking, thinking which goes beyond two layers of thought process. He described how, despite the world changing more quickly than before, some things-that is, ideas-remained the same because they were centered on human needs. He enlightened the students with the fact that innovation should be upgraded while studying consumer's need.
He further added that critical thinking and innovation should be based on the three things: WHAT, HOW and WHY. What is the objective of the innovation, how one should carry that out and why one should follow that path?
He then said that no two individuals have same perspective and keeping this in mind one should work towards his/her own unique perspective. Also he described major five steps towards design thinking: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype and Test. He also explained in detail about critical thinking and innovation design by giving the examples of various products and businesses such as Amul, Coka Cola beverage, etc.
