Kishtwar police takes strict action against traffic violators under operation third eye

KISHTWAR, Apr 12: In a bid to enforce traffic regulations and ensure road safety, Kishtwar District Police took decisive action by issuing challans to 80 violators under the Motor Vehicle Act for various offenses such as wrong parking, riding without helmets, and overloading in Kishtwar town.
Under the vigilant direction of SSP Kishtwar, Abdul Qayoom, a specialized team was constituted for the purpose of traffic enforcement. Utilizing advanced technical aids like CCTV surveillance, the team meticulously documented violations of traffic rules through photographs and videography, with a particular focus on identifying vehicles through number plate reading systems.
Following thorough investigation and verification, the copies of challans along with photographic evidence of the violations were dispatched to the residential addresses of the vehicle owners.

District Police Kishtwar urges the general public to extend their cooperation and provide information regarding any instances of overloaded vehicles or reckless driving observed on the roads. Stringent action will be taken against erring drivers, including suspension of vehicle documents and driving licenses, as well as the registration of FIRs.
This proactive stance by Kishtwar District Police underscores their commitment to ensuring road safety and upholding traffic laws, thereby fostering a safer environment for all road users.
