| JUTA rejects UGC draft proposal on appointments, promotions | | | Early Times report
Jammu, Mar 5- Jammu University Teachers' Association (JUTA), the prime body of the Teachers of the Jammu University, has totally rejected the draft proposal circulated by University Grants Commission for appointment as well as the promotion of the teachers based upon the Assessment Performance Indicators (APIs).
In a unanimous resolution passed in its executive meeting, the representatives have expressed their displeasure on the modalities and the weightings assigned to various parameters which are not reliable and as such cannot be valid. It has also requested the UGC to revise it before putting into circulation for wider acceptance.
In another decision, the members have called for holding fresh election to JUTA as the term of the present team is expiring on March 11.
