Jammu, Apr 14: In commemoration of the 133rd birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, a grand rally was organized by the Baba Saheb Ambedkar Jayanti Celebration Committee in R.S. Pura Suchetgarh. The spirited procession traversed through several villages, including Chak Bala, Rathana, Jinder Mehlu, Chak Aslam, and Chauhala, culminating in R.S. Pura town, where homage was paid to the iconic leader.
Dr. Preeti Bhagat, a prominent social activist, led the tribute, reflecting on Dr. Ambedkar’s monumental contributions to India’s freedom struggle and the post-independence era. She lauded his pivotal role as the country’s first Law Minister and Chairman of the Constitution Drafting Committee, emphasizing the profound significance of the Indian Constitution crafted under his stewardship.
