3/5/2009 10:59:09 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 5- Expressing its serious concern over non implementation of reservation roaster system, the Jammu and Kashmir Scheduled Caste Employees Forum in its meeting and attended by large number of SC employees of state government departments and autonomous bodies alleged that the reservation roaster system meant for SCs has not been implemented by the University authorities as was clear from the seniority lists of all categories issued by the administration.
The meeting also took the University authorities to task of their failure in holding any meeting of the Standing Committee constituted by the University in 1992 on the direction of UGC, for resolving issues relating to SCs. The Forum held JU Registrar and his subordinate staff responsible for all the mess and urged the JU Vice-Chancellor Professor Varun Sahini to immediately replace them and order an inquiry into the mess created by the vested interests in implementation of the roaster system and ensure implementation of reservation norms strictly in accordance with SRO 144 read with SRO 294.
