| Illicit liquor recovered; accused arrested, FIR lodged | | |  Early Times Report
REASI, Apr 16: Continuing the drive against drug abuse and illicit liquor launched by District Police Reasi. Reasi Police recovered illicit liquor and arrested the bootlegger involved in smuggling of illicit liquor.
Police party of Police Check Post Balini, during checking and frisking apprehended one person namely Bansi Lal @ Bittu S/O Lt Ram Saran R/O Dhirti Katra District Reasi and recovered 18 quarters of 250 ml JK special desi whisky from his possession.
In this regard, cognizance taken and FIR No. 107/2024 U/S 188 IPC stands registered at P/S Katra. Further investigation of the case is in progress.
SSP Reasi Mohita Sharma-IPS while sharing the details conveyed that Reasi police under is committed to eradicate the menace of drug abuse and illicit liquor smuggling from the area and people from all sections of the society should come forward and join hands with Police to strengthen anti-drug drive of District Police Reasi and share any information regarding such illegal activities on district police anti drug helpline no. 9070907017 where identity of caller is kept secret. |
