JALANDHAR, Apr 16: The School of Hotel Management & Tourism at Lovely Professional University (LPU) has made history by setting a new world record for the largest display of meringue-based sandwich cookies, known as "Macarons." Surpassing the previous record of 9,600, LPU showcased an awe-inspiring 10,829 tri-coloured macarons, meticulously arranged to resemble the iconic Indian flag.
The event held at LPU campus was a remarkable display of culinary artistry and national pride. Students and faculty members poured their hearts into creating this spectacular showcase, feeling a deep sense of honor in representing their country on a global platform. The significance of the Indian flag added an extra layer of emotion and patriotism to the event, making it a truly memorable occasion.
LPU Pro Chancellor, Rashmi Mittal, extended her warmest congratulations to the hard-working students and their dedicated mentors who meticulously planned and executed this record-breaking feat. Mrs. Mittal emphasized the importance of thinking outside the box to gain recognition and fame worldwide. She encouraged all participants to continue pushing boundaries and striving for excellence in their respective fields.
Compared to other desserts, macarons are renowned for their delicate flavors and bite-sized portions, making them a beloved treat enjoyed by individuals all over the world. Not only did LPU surpass a previous record, but the tri-coloured display of macarons also served as a visual reminder of the values and ideals represented by the Indian flag - unity, diversity, and freedom.
LPU has established a reputation for achieving numerous Guinness World Records across various disciplines. This latest accomplishment further solidifies LPU's commitment to excellence, innovation, and pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved.
The world record-setting display of macarons by LPU is a testament to the university's dedication to fostering talent, encouraging creativity, and providing students with opportunities to excel in their chosen fields.
