Jammu, Apr 18: Shikha Magotra D/o Ram Rattan Sharma and Chander Prabha; W/o Abhimanyu Bali has been declared qualified for the award of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science and Engineering by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) Katra, J&K. The candidate has worked on the topic entitled “Development of Computation Model for Text Segmentation in Takri Script OCR” under the supervision of Dr. Baijnath Kaushik, Associate Professor, School of Computer Science and Engineering, SMVDU, Katra and co-supervision of Dr. Ajay Kaul, Associate Professor, School of Computer Science and Engineering, SMVDU, Katra. Ms. Shikha Magotra has published her research work in various reputed high-impact factor SCI/SCIE and Scopus journals, and also presented papers in international conferences. The candidate expressed her gratitude to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University for granting her the fellowship during her Ph.D. program, and for providing all necessary support and facilities for carrying out the research work.
