Woman among three arrested for murder of cab driver

NEW DELHI, Apr 18: The Delhi Police has arrested three people, including a woman, in the murder of a 34 year old cab driver in North Delhi's Chatta Rail Red light area near Red Fort on Wednesday. The accused had also shot at a passerby, who witnessed the whole incident. The accused have been identified as Anita alias Ruksar, aged 28 years old, Sajid, aged 19 years old, and Salman, aged 24 years old. Police said that a piece of information was received from LNJP hospital on Monday at 1:50 a.m. that Mohammad Shaqib, a resident of Zakir Nagar, had been admitted after receiving gunshot wounds, along with one Luv Khush, aged 15 years old, a resident of Palwal.
"The joint team of Police Station Kotwali & Special Staff have worked out a murder case of an Uber Cab Driver committed while helping the victim during a minor accident and subsequent road rage with driver of Cab occurred on intervening night of 14th-15th April," DCP North M.K. Meena. During the probe, it was revealed that around 12:00 a.m., a Maruti Wagon-R collided with an e-rickshaw at the Chatta Rail Red light.
